Virginia L. Goodman, 90 of Mayville, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Beaver Dam Health Care Center in Beaver Dam.
Ginny was born August 17, 1933, in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Michael and Iris (Howell) Kennelly. She attended school in California and married Gordon Goodman on August 21, 1947, in LA. The couple had 5 sons and they enjoyed 60 plus years of marriage until his death in 2008. Gordy and Ginny owned the Country Aire Bar in Mayville for multiple years, making many friends in the area. They also enjoyed spending their days watching western movies. Ginny loved skating! She was avid figure skater, roller skater, and even was involved in roller derby! She looked forward to shopping - always, and was known to own every “as seen on TV” item sold at Wal-Mart. She was also a collector of anything “tweety-bird”. Her spunky personality was endearing, and she loved her family dearly. She will be missed.
She is survived by: her sons Gordon (Cindy) of Big Flats, Timothy (Judy) of Mayville, and Glen of Pheonix, AZ; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great, great-grandchildren.
Ginny is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Gary and Ron, and her brother Bill.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home in Jefferson. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdelene Catholic Cemetery in Johnson Creek following the service.
