Vicki L. Zick, 71, of Johnson Creek, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, at her home.
Vicki was born on September 6, 1952, in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of Howard and Minola (Schroeder) Eichel. She graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1970, earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from UW-Whitewater, a master’s degree in public administration from UW-Madison, and a juris doctorate from Marquette University. On September 6, 1975, she married Douglas Zick at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson, and the couple had a son, Cody. Vicki started her law practice in 1999 in Johnson Creek and was very proud to have argued many cases in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Vicki was an avid golfer, close follower of the Green Bay Packers, a talented painter and cook, and a low-limit gambler – especially playing cards. Vicki was a no-nonsense type of person who operated with logic in all areas and did things her way. She had the ability to serve and relate to a wide range of people, and she did her job well. She will be missed.
She is survived by: her husband, Doug Zick of Johnson Creek; son Cody (Kimberly) Zick of Sharon Grove, KY; siblings Susan Meracle of Dousman, Connie Eichel of Charleston, SC, Jennine (Bill Ulm) Williams of Johnson Creek, and Jeff (Laura) Eichel of Franklin. Vicki is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and other family members.
A memorial reception will be held from 3:00PM - 6:00PM on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Hi-Way Harry's (Upper Room), in Johnson Creek
